Step into the magical fairytale world of the Moomins while you wait for your flight. Moomin Arabia, in collaboration with Moomin Characters, has now opened its second shop in Sweden in the form of a pop-up in Terminal 5 at Stockholm Arlanda. It offers airport passengers a unique range of Moomin products – everything from the beloved porcelain to various accessories, clothes, toys and books.
Passengers, employees and other partners at Swedavia’s ten airports raised more than SEK 2.8 million in 2023 for the Swedish Red Cross, an increase of SEK 1.1 million compared to 2022. Swedavia has been partnering with the Red Cross since 2012, and in that time has raised a total of SEK 23 million for the organisation's aid and relief efforts.

In 2023, the recovery from the low traffic volumes of previous years continued, with new airlines coming and old ones returning to the company’s airports, with most routes and destinations restored.
In 2024, Swedavia's investment in sustainable aviation will continue through the SAF (sustainable aviation fuel) incentive programme, a programme in which Swedavia offers discounts and reimburses airlines up to 50 per cent of the premium cost for refuelling with environmentally friendly renewable aviation fuel. 2024 marks the fifth year in a row that Swedavia has offered the incentive programme.
Eurowings continues to expand at Stockholm Arlanda Airport by launching two new direct routes ahead of summer 2024. The new routes will serve Hannover (HAJ) and Naples (NAP) respectively, adding to the considerable variety of destinations already operated by Eurowings from the airport.
In February, Swedavia's ten airports served nearly 2.2 million passengers, which is 4 per cent higher than February of last year. The increase continues to be driven by international travel, which increased 8 per cent during the month.
The Croatian national carrier has announced that they will expand at Stockholm Arlanda Airport with a new, direct route to Zagreb. Croatia Airlines, a member of Star Alliance, will operate the new route twice a week, further connecting the Swedish capital with Croatia ahead of summer 2024.
