Stockholm Arlanda Airport is being modernised, and this includes a new security checkpoint for Terminal 5 in 2023. Following a public procurement procedure, Swedavia signed a contract with a supplier of a standard system for screening passengers’ hand baggage in the security checkpoint.

On October 1 Green Flyway, a collaboration project for the development of electric aviation, will open and inaugurate premises for an international test centre for electric planes and drones at Åre Östersund Airport in Sweden.
Ylva Arvidsson, Swedavia’s Director of Cargo, believes there is pent-up demand for air cargo and that air cargo can play an important role in the recovery of the aviation industry and of the world’s economies.
