Press release -
More air traffic with easyJet from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Berlin
easyJet continues to expand its operations at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. Since March this year, the airline offers 14 departures a week to Berlin-Tegel from Stockholm Arlanda. Beginning October 28, easyJet will add six weekly departures to Berlin Schönefeld Airport.
The dynamic metropolis of Berlin offers diversity and new trends in architecture, art and fashion. In March, easyJet began flying to Berlin-Tegel International Airport from Stockholm Arlanda. Now traffic between these two European capitals will expand with a further six departures a week, this time to another of Berlin’s airports, Berlin-Schönefeld.
“We are pleased that easyJet continues to invest in Stockholm Arlanda. Our significant business connections between Germany and Sweden will benefit greatly from the increased air service between the two capitals. This is also beneficial to the tourism industry,” said Elizabeth Axtelius, Aviation Business Director at Swedavia.
“We are pleased to continue to strengthen our network with this new route for the winter flight schedule 2018/2019 from Berlin-Schönefeld to Stockholm and we believe this new route will prove a popular addition to our existing network. For those who are looking for inspiration on where to go on their break, our Inspire Me app available on our website helps travellers to find flights tailored to their budget and travel dates”, said Thomas Haagensen, easyJet Group Markets Director.
easyJet offers more than 1,000 routes between 33 countries. The new air link between Stockholm Arlanda and Berlin-Schönefeld will be launched October 28 with service on every day of the week except Saturday.
