More ski resorts now in reach with direct flights to Turin and Grenoble from Göteborg Landvetter

During the winter season, Swedish skiers will be able to fly non-stop once weekly with Norwegian Air Shuttle to Turin and Grenoble, two brand-new destinations from Göteborg Landvetter Airport. With these new direct routes to the popular countries of Italy and France, Norwegian offers a total of 16 international destinations from Gothenburg. Norwegian is the only carrier to operate non-stop flights on these routes.

Within easy reach of Turin are Italian ski resorts such as Cervinia, Champoluc and Sestriere as well as the French ski resorts of Serre Chevalier and La Grave. As the capital city of Piedmont in northern Italy, Turin is also an exciting destination for everyone interested in the region’s food and drinks.

Grenoble is a well-known winter sport town in southeast France often called the gateway to the Alps since the city is surrounded by three mountain ranges. Ski resorts located near Grenoble include Val Thorens, Valmeinier, Les Menuires, Meribel, Les Deux Alpes, Alpe d’Huez and Val d’Isere.

The carrier Norwegian now makes it even easier for anyone taking a ski trip during the winter season to fly non-stop from Gothenburg to places with convenient travel links to different Alpine ski resorts. With Turin and Grenoble, Norwegian offers 16 international destinations from Göteborg Landvetter.

“We are pleased that Norwegian has chosen to expand its network of routes by adding two seasonal destinations and to bolster service for Swedish skiers this winter. This provides people living in western Sweden with better access and an opportunity to enjoy winter sport at ski resorts in the popular countries of France and Italy. So far this year, 13 new routes have been launched from Göteborg Landvetter, and it is especially gratifying to be able to offer two more destinations since demand for direct routes remains strong,” said Elizabeth Axtelius, Director of Aviation Business at Swedavia.

“It is gratifying that we are able to offer residents of Gothenburg direct routes to both Turin and Grenoble. The two destinations have a great deal to offer, with many attractions. The airports are also strategically well located for ski enthusiasts, which means it is only a few hours’ car ride to a number of attractive ski resorts in both Italy and France. We look forward to welcoming both our old and new passengers on board,” said Magnus Maursund, Senior Vice President Commercial Short Haul at Norwegian.

The new route Göteborg Landvetter Airport (GOT) – Turin (TRN) will operate once weekly on Saturdays during the period December 28, 2019 – March 28, 2020.

The new route Göteborg Landvetter Airport (GOT) – Grenoble (GNB) will operate once weekly on Saturdays during the period February 8 – March 28, 2020.

Tickets can now be bought at www.norwegian.com.
