Major investment in food and beverages at Stockholm Arlanda and Göteborg Landvetter – some 20 brand-new restaurants, bars and cafés to open starting in 2023

Swedavia continues to develop its range of services at Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Göteborg Landvetter Airport. The new marketplace at Arlanda will open starting in 2023 and is one of the biggest investments ever in food and beverage outlets at the airport. With the investment, Swedavia’s partner SSP will launch some 20 well-known food and beverage concepts that are brand-new to the airports.

Malmö Airport celebrates 50 years

On December 1 this year, Malmö Airport will celebrate its 50th anniversary, which will be commemorated with different activities at the airport and in Swedavia’s media channels during the year. In celebrating the airport as an international meeting place and transport hub for half a century, the spotlight will be on the important role Malmö Airport plays and the progress that has been made.

Scanian of the Year Peder Fredricson has his portrait on display at Malmö Airport

The 2021 Scanian of the Year, chosen by readers of the newspaper Kvällsposten, is the equestrian Peder Fredricson. He was on hand today at Malmö Airport together with airport director Karin Öhrström to unveil his portrait in the Welcome to my Hometown gallery. Peder is now one of 14 faces on display in the gallery that greet all visitors to Scania and Malmö Airport.

New Airport VIP Service inaugurated at Stockholm Arlanda Airport

Stockholm Arlanda Airport will be developed into the leading airport in Scandinavia. Investments of 15 billion Swedish kronor are planned through 2025. As part of this work, Airport VIP Service’s new premises – with 2,000 square metres of floor space and a Nordic-inspired decor designed by the architecture firm Tengbom – were inaugurated today.

Nationalmuseum showcases smart Swedish design at Stockholm Arlanda

These are exciting times for the design world. Crossing Borders–Smart Design, an exhibition presented in partnership with Swedavia, showcases products by Swedish designers in the fields of digital communication, digital manufacturing and sustainable design. The exhibition will meet travellers departing from Terminal 5, Stockholm Arlanda Airport, until the 30th September.

Nationalmuseum and Swedavia bring art to the airport

Nationalmuseum and Swedavia have announced a joint project to exhibit art and design at Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Umeå Airport. In spring 2014, an exhibition of photographic portraits of internationally celebrated Swedes will open at Arlanda, creating an opportunity for travellers to enjoy a selection of artworks from Nationalmuseum’s collection.
