Swedavia’s passengers and employees donate 1.7 million kronor to Swedish Red Cross

In 2022, passengers at Swedavia’s ten airports, together with the company’s staff and other employees at the airport, donated more than 1.7 million Swedish kronor for the Swedish Red Cross’s relief work. At a ceremony at Stockholm Arlanda Airport on Wednesday, Swedavia’s president and CEO, Jonas Abrahamsson, handed over a check with this year’s donation to the Swedish Red Cross.

Swedavia named Diversity Leader among European companies

Swedavia is among the European businesses perceived as leaders in their diversity work, according to a ranking published by the Financial Times on November 18. In the transport and logistics category, Swedish ranks second among Swedish companies.

Swedavia’s airports to donate personal protective equipment to health care

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, there is an increased need for personal protective equipment for healthcare employees in Sweden. Swedavia’s airports are now contributing by donating equipment such as face masks and protective eyewear to health care facilities throughout the country.

Swedavia’s passengers and employees donate millions of kronor to the Red Cross

In 2017, passengers and employees at Swedavia’s airports donated 3.6 million Swedish kronor to Red Cross operations. The donation was marked with a ceremony on Tuesday, February 27, featuring Swedavia’s chief executive, Jonas Abrahamsson, and the president of the Swedish Red Cross, Margareta Wahlström, at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
