Swedavia has decided to make Malmö Airport the test arena for Heart Aerospace’s ES-30 electric aircraft. The full-scale aircraft model will be tested and used to demonstrate taxiing and charging at the airport. Also taking part in the test activities alongside Swedavia are Heart Aerospace, the airlines BRA and SAS, and the Swedish battery developer Northvolt.
Ryanair continues to expand and invest in the Swedish market and will launch ten new international direct routes for the summer season, with a number of these to brand-new European destinations from Stockholm Arlanda Airport, as well as two domestic routes to Luleå and Visby. That means a total of 35 new routes and more than 100 weekly departures from Arlanda.
Swedavia has decided to open another terminal at Stockholm Arlanda Airport starting October 26. In addition to Terminal 5, Terminal 2 is now also being placed in operation. The decision was made as a result of increased air travel and investments in operations at Arlanda by a number of airlines during the autumn.
The Spanish low cost carrier Vueling is adding to its range of services available between Sweden and France and will launch a new direct route from both Stockholm Arlanda and Göteborg Landvetter to the French capital in November.

For the first time in 17 months travelers to and from Sweden will benefit from a non-stop long-haul service to the US.
