Passenger statistics for Swedavia, July 2018

The total number of passengers who flew to or from one of Swedavia’s ten airports in July 2018 was 3,949,000, which is an increase of more than 1 per cent compared to the same period last year. The number of international passengers increased 1 per cent, and the number of domestic passengers also increased 1 per cent.

The month of July saw an increase in passenger volume at Swedavia’s airports. At Stockholm Arlanda Airport, passenger volume was up 1 per cent to 2,595,000 passengers. At Göteborg Landvetter Airport, passenger volume was up 2 per cent to 698,000.

At Swedavia’s other airports, relatively small changes in passenger volume were noted, with the exception of Umeå Airport, where passenger volume increased 9 per cent to 68,000 passengers.

In mid-June, Swedavia’s operations at Visby Airport became entirely fossil-free. Following years of focused work, which includes electrification of its vehicles, a switch in fuels and implementation of efficiency measures, the airport has now secured its position as one of the most climate-smart in the world.
