Swedavia ranks as European diversity leader 2022

The Financial Times has published a list of the 850 European businesses with the best gender balance and openness to all forms of age, ethnicity, disability and sexual orientation in their workforce. Swedavia ranked among the top five in the category Transportation and Logistics.

As a workplace, Swedavia is characterized by diversity, inclusiveness, and respect for the individual at all levels. Active, targeted work has been carried out for many years to promote equal treatment and an inclusive culture. This has now been recognized internationally, as The Financial Times, in partnership with the German market research company Statista, publishes its third annual ranking of Diversity Leaders. The research was conducted between April and August 2021 through an independent survey across 16 European countries, which also sought the opinions of human resources and recruitment experts. Of the 15,000 companies assessed, the 850 businesses with the highest scores made the final list. Swedavia was honored with fifth place in the category Transportation and Logistics.

“Being ranked fifth is a confirmation that we are working in the right way with diversity, an issue that is as important as it is self-evident,” says Marie Wiksborg, Director of Business Support and Security.

Wiksborg adds, “For Swedavia as a workplace, it is essential that everyone has a right to be themselves and be treated with respect. Continuous work is carried out to ensure an inclusive, engaging culture in which every employee’s special abilities and talents are considered. The fact that this has now been recognized is an incentive to continue the work.”
