SAS is expanding its network of routes and enhancing connectivity between North America and western Sweden and will launch a new direct route to New York from Gothenburg in April 2023. The route will be served three times a week with the new Airbus 321LR aircraft.

Starting December 9, 2022, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will offer non-stop service between Luleå and London. Direct flights to and from Heathrow will operate weekly on Monday and Friday until March 13, 2023.
Ryanair continues to expand and invest in the Swedish market and will launch ten new international direct routes for the summer season, with a number of these to brand-new European destinations from Stockholm Arlanda Airport, as well as two domestic routes to Luleå and Visby. That means a total of 35 new routes and more than 100 weekly departures from Arlanda.
Finnish airline Finnair will strengthen its North American services from the new base at Stockholm Arlanda Airport ahead of the winter season and is launching two new long-haul routes to Los Angeles and New York. The German carrier Sundair is starting operations from the Swedish market for the first-time by launching a new non-stop service to the Lebanese capital from Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
