Nina Linander new Board member

At an Extraordinary General Meeting of Swedavia AB held on February 13, Nina Linander was elected as a new Board member of the company.

Nina Linander is currently a Chairman of the Board of AWA Holding AB and Green Iron H2 AB and a Board member of AB Industrivärlden, Castellum AB, Telia Company AB and was formerly a Board member of Skanska AB and Specialfastigheter Sverige AB, among other companies. In addition, she worked for many years at both Electrolux and Vattenfall, where she was also a member of internal boards.

“The proposed Board member is considered to have the relevant skills, experience and background for the company’s governance, which is why the owner has proposed that the person noted above be elected by the General Meeting as a Board member,” noted Swedavia’s owner, the Swedish State, in giving its reasoning for the proposal.

Nina Linander has a master’s degree in business from Sweden as well as an MBA from IMEDE, Lausanne, Switzerland.

Swedavia’s Board of Directors now consist of eight members.

​Swedavia’s traffic statistics for January 2020

In January, a total of 2,670,000 passengers flew via Swedavia’s ten airports, which is a 6 per cent decrease compared to the same month last year. The weak traffic trend in recent months continued in January, which was also adversely affected by airlines reducing their seating capacity to a greater extent.

Swedavia’s traffic statistics for December and the full year 2019

In 2019 more than 40 million passengers flew to or from Swedavia’s airports, representing a 4 per cent decrease compared to the 2018 all-time high record of more than 42 million passengers. The decrease was primarily in domestic travel, while international travel overall decreased to a lesser extent. International traffic increased at a number Swedavia’s airports, notably at Göteborg Landvetter.

Bromma Stockholm Airport wins international customer experience award

The international airport operators trade organisation, Airports Council International (ACI), publishes an annual ranking of airports around the world that provide the best customer experience to passengers - according to the passengers themselves. Swedavia’s Bromma Stockholm Airport is one of the airports that have now won.

Swedavia’s traffic statistics for February 2020

In February, over 2,631,000 passengers flew via Swedavia’s ten airports, which is a decrease of 6 per cent compared to the same month last year. Profit was positively affected by the extra leap year day during the month. The consequences of the coronavirus outbreak had a limited impact, but it is expected to affect the passenger trend to a much greater extent in March.
