Press release -

This is Moomin Arabia’s new pop-up shop at Stockholm Arlanda

Step into the magical fairytale world of the Moomins while you wait for your flight. Moomin Arabia, in collaboration with Moomin Characters, has now opened its second shop in Sweden in the form of a pop-up in Terminal 5 at Stockholm Arlanda. It offers airport passengers a unique range of Moomin products – everything from the beloved porcelain to various accessories, clothes, toys and books.

The pop-up shop, which opened its doors at Terminal 5 in Arlanda on 25 April, welcomed the airport’s passengers with Moomin mascots, great opening offers and a range that meets the wishes of both die-hard Moomin mug lovers and casual gift buyers.

In addition to the porcelain products, such as the popular collector’s mugs, there is also a wide selection of the new Moomin home textiles in the form of bed linen, towels and bathrobes. The range also includes the brand new glass collection, made in the historic Iittala glassworks in Finland.

“In the new range of shopping that is emerging at Stockholm Arlanda, we want to focus on inspiring experiences and memorable visits, but also on ringing the changes in the range available to the passengers who visit us often. That's why we’re very happy to welcome Moomin Arabia’s pop-up shop. We see a strong demand for Nordic, local and unique products, while gifting – being able to buy gifts for loved ones – is important primarily for our foreign travellers. Moomin Arabia is a strong and popular brand and a perfect complement to the airport’s other, expanding offerings,” says Charlotte Ljunggren, Director of Marketing and Sales at Swedavia.

“We are so happy to be able to offer all passengers at Stockholm Arlanda a chance to experience the Moomin atmosphere and buy fine gifts at the airport. We look forward to developing the concept further with a wide range of partner products and our own product range under one roof,” says Katarina Elvinsson, Retail Development Manager at Fiskars Group, of which Moomin Arabia is a part.

Moomin Arabia's pop-up shop is located in gate area E in Terminal 5 and will be open throughout 2024.
