The Irish airline company Ryanair will launch four new routes ahead of the summer program of 2024, at Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Göteborg Landvetter Airport respectively.
Ahead of the summer of 2024 Ryanair is expanding at two of Swedavias airports and will be operating Dubrovnik from Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Sarajevo from Göteborg Landvetter Airport. The new routes will be served twice a week from each airport receptively starting in April and will be welcomed additions to the existing routes offered by Ryanair.
Ahead of the summer of 2024 Norwegian is launching another new direct route from Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, this time to the popular city of Dubrovnik in Croatia. The addition of the new route means that Norwegian will start in total five new routes from Gothenburg Landvetter next spring. The new route to Dubrovnik will be operated twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting May 1, 2024

This summer, the range of shops at Göteborg Landvetter Airport will be revitalised. Two major additions are a new electronics store and a brand-new souvenir shop.
Norwegian Air Shuttle is expanding its offering at Göteborg Landvetter Airport and will now reopen its popular direct route to Barcelona, with three weekly departures starting June 22.

The Serbian carrier Air Serbia is expanding its air transport network in Europe and launching non-stop service from Göteborg Landvetter in time for summer. In mid-May, it will resume service to the Serbian capital, which it last served in 2013.
Braathens Regional Airlines (BRA) will fly twice weekly between Göteborg Landvetter Airport and Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport in France, based on a 50 percent renewable SAF biofuel usage. The new route will thus be the most sustainable fuel-powered route in the world.
The new Stockholm Arlanda is taking shape. A number of shops will be ready to open next summer when the first phase of the new Marketplace is completed, along with a new modern security checkpoint. Retailers including a number of well-known Swedish brands will move in, and there will also be a brand-new gift concept, with a focus on Nordic products.

The European low-cost carrier Wizz Air continues to have strong confidence in the Swedish market’s wanderlust and is expanding operations with the addition of a new route from Göteborg Landvetter to Rome for its summer programme.
Swedavia continues to develop its range of services at Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Göteborg Landvetter Airport. The new marketplace at Arlanda will open starting in 2023 and is one of the biggest investments ever in food and beverage outlets at the airport. With the investment, Swedavia’s partner SSP will launch some 20 well-known food and beverage concepts that are brand-new to the airports.
Ryanair has announced its biggest ever Swedish winter offering as it continues to strengthen its presence in the Swedish market. The Irish low-cost carrier will launch thirteen new direct routes from Stockholm Arlanda Airport this winter. Six of them are all new routes, half of which are brand-new European destinations. Altogether, the airline has launched 44 new direct routes from its new base.
Göteborg Landvetter Airport will get another international route for the summer season. In early June, the Mediterranean carrier Air Corsica will offer a new direct route between Gothenburg and the French island of Corsica.
After a two-year pause during the pandemic, the Austrian carrier returns to Gothenburg and Göteborg Landvetter Airport and restarts traffic to Vienna at the end of March.
The German low cost carrier Eurowings continues to expand in the Swedish market and at Göteborg Landvetter Airport. In conjunction with the summer season, the airline will launch non-stop service to Germany’s second largest city, Hamburg. Eurowings is thus expanding its range of flights from Gothenburg with another destination alongside its existing air link to Düsseldorf.
In October, nearly 1.7 million passengers flew via Swedavia’s ten airports, half the number compared to October 2019, before the pandemic. However, the recovery in air travel accelerated during the month, when passenger volume reached its highest level since the start of the pandemic.
