Air Canada to establish at Stockholm Arlanda Airport – will launch two direct routes to Montreal and Toronto
Canada's largest airline, Air Canada, will establish at Stockholm Arlanda Airport with two direct routes, one of which is a new destination – Montreal – on June 12th as of next year. Operating direct routes to Toronto and Montreal five times a week, Air Canada will be an important addition to Stockholm Arlanda, connecting the Swedish capital with Canada as well as the North American market.
Air Canada, as a founding member of Star Alliance and as the largest provider of scheduled passenger services on the domestic and international market to and from Canada, will establish at Stockholm Arlanda Airport with two direct routes as of June 12th next year. The two routes will not only serve as an important connection to the distinguished cities of Montreal and Toronto but also as an important connection to the whole of Canada and North America.

-Toronto and Montreal have been strategically developed to facilitate convenient connections throughout Air Canada’s extensive North American network and, with non-stop Dreamliner flights to Stockholm, we offer customers choice and ease while travelling between North America and Sweden’s capital city for business development, tourism, or visiting friends and family. Together with our added capacity to Copenhagen, we will operate up to 17 weekly flights this summer from Toronto and Montreal to Stockholm and Copenhagen. Starting on June 12th 2024, Air Canada will operate Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) – Toronto (YYZ) route two times a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, until the end of the summer schedule. The Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) – Montreal (YUL) route will be operated three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, until the end of the summer schedule.
Both routes will be operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, seating 255 passengers featuring three cabins of service for customers to choose from, including Signature Class with lie-flat seats, Premium Economy and Economy Class.

Swedavia’s work for fossil-free aviation
Swedavia has carried out ambitious climate work for many years. All ten of its airports achieved the goal of zero fossil carbon dioxide emissions from their own operations by year-end 2020. Swedavia also works actively to promote the switch to sustainable aviation fuel and has the goal that five per cent of all fuel used for refuelling at Swedish airports shall be fossil-free by 2025. Swedavia’s energy transition work and its pioneering work to run climate-smart airports have won international awards, and in 2021 the trade organisation Airports Council International (ACI) named Stockholm Arlanda Eco-Innovation Airport of the Year.
