Norwegian continues to expand at Stockholm Arlanda Airport by launching a new direct route to Skellefteå Airport, starting on 28 October. Skellefteå is a part of the rapidly developing business climate focused on sustainability that is emerging in the northern parts of Sweden, a development which increase the demand for extended connectivity to the region.
Swedavia is expanding its collaboration with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) through an extended agreement and forty new collection bins for deposit bottles and cans located at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The collaboration aims to promote social sustainability and support MSF's humanitarian efforts globally. The new initiative is expected to increase both visibility and financial contributions.
On Thursday June 13th, Air Canada was welcomed at Stockholm Arlanda Airport with an inauguration ceremony attended by H.E. Jason LaTorre, Ambassador of Canada to Sweden, Mr. Jonas Abrahamsson, CEO Swedavia, and MD, International Sales, Mr. Rocky Lo, Air Canada. Operating direct routes to Toronto and Montreal five times a week, Air Canada will be an important addition to Stockholm Arlanda.
Norwegian will increase the connectivity between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and the northern part of Norway by launching a new route to Tromsø. Starting on October 31st, Norwegian will operate the route twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.

Passengers, employees and other partners at Swedavia’s ten airports raised more than SEK 2.8 million in 2023 for the Swedish Red Cross, an increase of SEK 1.1 million compared to 2022. Swedavia has been partnering with the Red Cross since 2012, and in that time has raised a total of SEK 23 million for the organisation's aid and relief efforts.
During March, almost 2.5 million passengers flew via Swedavia’s airports. International travel continued to show a positive trend during the month and increased by 5 per cent compared to March of last year, while domestic travel showed a weaker trend as a result of an early Easter this year, which resulted in lower demand for domestic travel.
On Thursday, April 4, the doors opened to American Express' newly renovated, double-sized lounge at the Marketplace in Terminal 5. Eurowings continues to expand at Stockholm Arlanda Airport by launching two new direct routes ahead of summer 2024. The new routes will serve Hannover (HAJ) and Naples (NAP) respectively, adding to the considerable variety of destinations already operated by Eurowings from the airport.

Japan’s largest airline, ANA, will establish at Stockholm Arlanda Airport with a direct route to the country’s major hub, Tokyo Haneda. ANA will be an important addition to Stockholm Arlanda, connecting the Swedish capital with one of the most important markets in Asia.
